Lee Kuhrt, 72 of Erie, Michigan, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.  Born September 20, 1941 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Edwin and Kathleen (Mallory) Kuhrt.  A 1959 graduate of Bedford High School, he married Joyce M. Zdunczyk on September 23, 1967 in St. Adalbert  Catholic Church in Toledo, OH.  Lee served in the Army National Guard for 6 years.  He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, and the National Street Rod Association, where his 1936 Plymouth won several awards. Lee was a car salesman for Gorno Ford in Woodhaven, MI for over 15 years, retiring in 2003.  Prior, he worked for the former A&P Stores in the Toledo area as produce manager.  He was a 4-H Leader for Monroe County for over 15 years during the 1970’s and 1980’s.  Lee was a man who would do anything for his family, having an unconditional love and a gentle heart. His true joy was seeing his wife and daughters happy (and ice cream).

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce.  Daughters, Theresa Kuhrt of Jerome, MI, Tracy Kuhrt of Apache Junction, AZ and Trudy Kuhrt of Toledo, OH. Sister, Linda (Rejean) Roy of Canada.  Sister-in-laws, Gloria (Frank) Rometski of Toledo, OH, Rosie Zawistowski of Toledo, OH and Mary Ann Zdunczyk of Toledo, OH.  Brother-in-law, Joe (Joanne) Zdunczyk of Toledo, OH. Godmother, Karen White.  Honorary Granddaughter, Petra Roessig of Germany. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Brother-in-laws, Eddie Zawistowski and Frank Zdunczyk.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Friday, November 29, 2013, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am.  Fr. Don LaCuesta, officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the church.  The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for taking such good care of Lee. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
